About the Awards

The Africa Prosperity Champions Awards honour Africans and friends of Africa who are shaping a prosperous, integrated continent. In 2026 we place special emphasis on SMEs, women and youth, aligned with the Africa Prosperity Dialogues theme: “Empowering SMEs, Women and Youth for Africa’s Single Market: Innovate. Collaborate. Trade.”

Award Categories

Woman of the Year

Celebrates an extraordinary African woman whose leadership, innovation and impact have transformed her field and inspired society.

Young Entrepreneur of the Year

Honours a dynamic entrepreneur under 35 leveraging AfCFTA to build cross‑border businesses and drive innovation.

SME Champion of the Year

Recognises a standout SME exemplifying resilience, innovation and cross‑border growth across Africa.

Industrialist of the Year

Recognises an industrial leader advancing value addition, manufacturing capacity and jobs across the continent.

Excellence in Digital Innovation

For pioneers transforming Africa through digital, technology or fintech solutions with measurable impact.

Financial Leadership in SMEs

Honours a financial institution or investor enabling SMEs — especially women, youth and start‑ups — to scale across Africa.

Global Soft Power

Recognises leaders elevating Africa’s global influence via culture, media, sports, diplomacy or creative industries.

Green Africa

Celebrates champions of sustainability and climate resilience across renewable energy, green tech, conservation or circular economy.

Global African Leadership

Honours members of the diaspora whose global success and leadership uplift the global African community.

Transformational Infrastructure

Recognises landmark infrastructure projects powering industrialisation and connectivity (energy, transport, water, housing, digital).

Shortlisted candidates are assessed on impact, innovation, pan‑African relevance, sustainability and alignment with APN’s mission. Winners will be unveiled at the Presidential Gala Dinner on 6 February 2026 in Accra, Ghana.
